Begin with a lakeside walk, then explore part of the neighboring castle grounds according to your preferred walking distance.
Continue toward the waterfront. An observation-deck visit can be arranged if you would like a higher viewpoint.
Pause for ramen or another local meal. The lunch location can be chosen to fit the final route.
Keep the six-hour day in the city, or use an eight-hour plan for Dazaifu Tenmangu and its approach street.

Choose a different focus
An evening food-stall visit is a separate option, subject to the stalls operating that night. For a slower Dazaifu day, omit the waterfront and make the shrine the main focus.
